How to Raise a Complaint

Last updated: October 2026

We want every homeowner who reaches Preferduty Plumbing to be treated fairly and honestly. If something went wrong, please let us know. This page shows how to file a complaint and what happens afterward. It is a general template and is not legal advice.

What You Can Tell Us About

You are welcome to contact us about:

  • Your experience when calling or contacting Preferduty Plumbing
  • The way your personal information was handled
  • Anything on this website that seems unclear or wrong
  • The conduct of a plumber we connected you with

When the Problem Is With a Provider

Plumbers in our network run their own businesses. Each is responsible for its estimates, pricing, work and customer service. If you are unhappy with work done in your home, the usual first step is to raise it with the plumber directly and keep a written record of what you said.

We still want to hear about it. Feedback on providers helps keep our network honest, and providers who repeatedly fall short of our expectations may be removed from it. Please know that Preferduty Plumbing cannot settle contract disputes, issue refunds for a provider's work or make decisions for a provider.

How to File a Complaint

Email contact@preferduty.living and include:

  • Your name and the preferred way to reach you
  • The date you contacted us or the plumber
  • The phone number you called or the form you used, if you remember
  • The provider's name, if you know it
  • A clear account of what happened and what outcome you hope for

What to Expect

We will confirm that we received your complaint by email, usually within a few business days. Then we will look into what happened, which may include contacting the provider. After that, we will write back with what we found and any steps we are taking.

If You Still Feel Unheard

If our answer does not satisfy you, reply and ask us to take another look. You can also reach out to your state's consumer protection office or attorney general, or to your local Better Business Bureau. For concerns about plumbing work itself, a state or local plumbing licensing board may be able to help.
